Sales Representative

The Ashton Sales Representative is responsible for soliciting orders for sales of the Ashton portfolio of products from retailers of premium cigars located in a specified region or state(s).

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop, plan and execute a personal strategic sales solicitation program for use within the prescribed territory
  • Visit, call on, and correspond with a variety of retail cigar shops for sales solicitation purposes
  • Utilize effective in-person, phone and digital communication with Ashton retail accounts for sales solicitation purposes
  • Advise retail account customers and potential customers on product merchandising best practices in furtherance of sales solicitation
  • Attend events hosted by Ashton retail customer accounts to assist in their sale of product to retail customers, by fostering brand awareness with consumers discussing the “features and benefits” of the products including the product origin, production process, and flavor
  • Drive demand through enthusiastic and comprehensive product familiarity
  • Aggressively seek out, identify and develop strategic new business partners within the territory
  • Meet and exceed quarterly territory sales quotas
  • Follow detailed reporting protocols
  • Extensive travel required with routine overnight stays
  • Occasional weekends required

Qualifications:

  • Passion for premium cigars
  • Acute familiarity with Planograms
  • Demonstrated ability to sell, influence and implement sales initiatives
  • Verifiable, quantifiable and successful sales track record
  • Dynamic, enthusiastic and extroverted personality
  • Confident ability to deliver a thorough sales presentation
  • Superior oral communication skills
  • Strong writing proficiency
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Comfortable utilizing progressive technological devices (iPad, iPhone, laptop)
  • Professional and responsible social media awareness
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean Driving Record
  • Accountable, adaptive and fiscally motivated approach

Strongly Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ Years of relevant sales experience
  • Acute familiarity with Planograms
